Day 1: Australia – Rome, Italy (In-flight Meals)

Depart Australia today for Rome, Italy.

Day 2: Rome (inflight meals)

Upon arrival into Rome, be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Rome (B)

After breakfast at the hotel this morning, take a half day into Rome’s old city. The tour visits the beautiful Trevi fountain, then Piazza Colonna, to view the impressive Column in honour of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius. Walk on through Rome’s cobbled streets, to baroque Piazza Montecitorio. Visit the Pantheon (with an internal tour), erected by Emperor Hadrian during the 2nd century AD and preserving the biggest dome in the world. Continue on to Palazzo Madama, seat of the Senate of the Italian Republic before arriving at Piazza Navona, famous for Bernini’s ornate Fountain of the Four Rivers.

Enjoy free time to explore Rome for the rest of the day.

Day 4: Rome – Siena Approx 321kms (B)

Leave Rome after breakfast this morning and travel north east into the beauty of Tuscany. Siena is a stunningly beautiful medieval city, with easy to navigate cobbled streets and an impressive central piazza, ideal for a relaxing meal and people watching. Enjoy free time after checking in to your hotel today.

Day 5: Siena – Florence Approx 274kms (B)

Drive on to Florence today. A half day fully guided tour will introduce the heart of the city, starting with a visit to the Basilica of the Holy Cross, final resting place of such Italian greats as Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli and Rossini. See the majestic Uffuzi Gallery, with time to visit (optional, not included). Take in the unique street life of Florence as you walk the winding old streets to the Ponte Vecchio, the 600 year-old arched bridge spanning the Arno River.

Take advantage of free time this afternoon to further explore the city.

Day 6: Florence – Pisa Approx 85kms (B)

Take the short journey up to Pisa today. The seaside town most famous for the Leaning Tower, is also an esteemed university town. It’s well preserved Romanesque buildings, Gothic churches and Renaissance piazzas are home to a vibrant local culture.

Day 7: Pisa – Cinque Terre – Pisa Approx 150kms (B)

After breakfast today, head to the famous and beautiful Cinque Terre coast. Enjoy a short local train ride into one of the 5 spectacular ocean-locked villages, with winding paths, boat filled bays and tiny cafes. Paved walks connect the villages and criss-cross the surrounding hills and are a beautiful way to explore this dramatic coastline.

Later, train back to the coach and return to Pisa (approx. 1 hour) to dine and relax for the evening.

Day 8: Pisa – Venice (Mestre) Approx 295kms (B)

Your tour of Italy crosses from the West to East coast today. Observe the changing landscapes as you travel in comfort from Tuscany to the Venetia region. After check in to your Mestre hotel, take a boat transfer onto Venice and experience a unique guided tour of Vecchia Murano – a traditional glass blowing factory, housed in a beautiful Venetian Palace.

Day 9: Venice (B)

Today’s 2 hour guided tour starts in the magnificent Piazza San Marco, the hub of Venice. See the Clock Tower, Napoleonic Wing and visit Basilica of San Marco, with its breathtaking Byzantine mosaics and glowing leadlight windows. The tour concludes after walking over the famous Rialto Bridge, one of the oldest and most important bridges in Venice, spanning the Grand Canal. The rest of the day is free to your own exploration.

Day 10: Depart Venice onboard MSC Sinfonia (B, L, D)

After a leisurely start to the day, be transferred to the Cruise Terminal to embark the wonderful MSC Sinfonia and start your Eastern Mediterranean cruise to Croatia, Greece and Albania.

Day 11: Split, Croatia 7.00am – 5.00pm (B, L, D)

Wake up today docked at Split, one of Croatia’s most popular port cities. Explore the beautifully preserved Old Town and waterfront Riva, or take an optional (not included) tour out to one of the spectacular Dalmatian islands, such as Hvar.

Day 12: At Sea (B, L, D)

Take advantage of a day at sea to make full use of the MSC Sinfonia’s amenities, entertainment and plentiful dining options.

Day 13: Santorini, Greece 8.00am – 2.00pm (B, L, D)

The Sinfonia docks in Santorini this morning. Incredibly photogenic, Santorini is renowned for its whitewashed and domed buildings, excellent dining and bright blue waters.

Day 14: Saranda, Albania 1.00pm – 7.00pm (B, L, D)

Popular for its array of restaurants, crystal clear water and year round sunny weather, Saranda is set into a peaceful bay on the Albanian Riviera.

Day 15: Dubrovnik, Croatia 9.00am – 6.00pm (B, L, D)

Fortressed, medieval Dubrovnik is dramatically perched on the edge of the Adriatic Sea. Visitors wander the narrow, winding alleys of the old town, explore the waterfront or walk the ancient fortress walls, taking in panoramic views across the city and out to sea.

Day 16: Ancona, Italy 10.00am – 6.00pm (B, L, D)

Today, explore one of Italy’s traditional sea towns. Ancona is known for very beautiful beaches, a blend of architectures and a lovely hill top cathedral.

Day 17: Disembark Venice from 8.00am – Fly Australia (B, inflight meals)

Disembark after breakfast on board today and make your own way to the airport for your journey home.

  • Copies of passports valid for 6 months beyond trip completion is strictly required at the time of booking. You are liable for all fees due to incorrect or incomplete full names, or passports lacking the required validity.


  • Tourist visas are not required for Australian and most other nationalities travelling to Europe. It is your responsibility to check all requirements with your local consulate, embassy or visa centre.


  • Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one checked bag not exceeding 20kg, plus one carry-on bag not exceeding 7kg. However, you are strongly encouraged to pack lightly below these limits, as you will be required to carry your own bag between the coach and hotel rooms, and to and from any other transport, while travelling to multiple cities and hotels.


  • Electronic documentation including e-tickets are generally emailed within two weeks of departure of your core tour, irrespective of early departures, pre-tour extensions or stopovers.


  • The default full service carrier included in your package will be provided when you receive your final documentation. Example default carriers include: Qatar, Lufthansa, Emirates, Singapore Airlines or similar.
  • Business Class may be available from $6,500. Please contact your travel consultant at the time of booking for premium economy and business class upgrade quotes.
  • All flights or airfare related fees and costs are due immediately upon confirmation by cash payment. Frequent flyer points redemption is not permitted.
  • Pre-set airline meals can be requested at the time of booking (or no later than one week before departure) and is subject to availability.
  • All flights may involve up to two transits.


  • The indicative itinerary and its order are subject to change based on local conditions and as we see fit to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the tour.
  • The indicated length of trip includes time in flight and is subject to change depending on the prevailing flight schedule to be provided when you receive your final documentation.


  • Land tour tipping: $5-10 (approx. EURO5) per person per day is recommended for the driver and tour guide.
  • Cruise ship tipping is Euro10 per person, per day and automatically billed to your cabin, along with other extra charges, such as beverages.


  • Reference hotels are listed and may be substituted with properties of a similar standard. Final hotels will be provided when you receive your final documentation. All hotel ratings are self-rated locally. All rooms are lead-in type.


  • Triple-share is not available on this tour + cruise. 


  • Children under 12 years old are not permitted on this tour. Children over 12 must travel with a responsible adult 18 year or older.


  • All costs and fees are fully non-refundable at all times.


  • Minimum 20 passengers required to operate, maximum group size per vehicle 48. 


  • Optional programs are subject to availability, time and weather permitting, and prepayable in AUD at the point of purchase. Some tours require minimum numbers to operate. Non-participants must wait at the venue for the group to conclude the activity. 


  • It is a condition of booking that you must always remain with the tour group and guide for the entirety of the tour. Any departure or deviation from the set tour itinerary is strictly prohibited. Penalties including cancellation of remaining accommodation and other arrangements will be enforced. 


  • A ‘break fee’ for early arrivals, stay behind or stopovers is collected for any deviations from the set dates and group tickets. Transfers are not included for arrivals and departures outside of the set group arrangements. 


  • Group transfers are at designated times. Transfers outside designated group arrangements incur additional costs. No refunds are provided for unused transfers. 


  • Exchanging some local currency before leaving home is advisable. The local currency can be used for optional programs, tipping, shopping and expenses of a personal nature.


  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Please contact your travel consultant for a quote on discounted insurance.


  • All trip costs and fees are fully non-refundable at all times.


  • All efforts must be made to resolve issues on tour with the tour leader. Formal complaints must be submitted within 14 days of tour completion.


  • Special meals are generally not available on tour. Please notify your guide of any special dietary requirements. Certain meals can be requested for the flights at the time of booking, subject to availability.


All amendments and changes are subject to a $150 fee per person, per change. Amendments and changes requested within 60 days of departure for travel will incur a $350 fee per person, per change.
